CSA Global (CSA) was seeking an innovative CPM and BI tool to enhance its reporting and budgeting activities and overcome challenges associated with its diverse service offerings and multiple international locations.

Challenges

With offices spread across multiple countries, currencies and time-zones, CSA experienced a myriad of reporting and budgeting challenges. Like many businesses, a heavy reliance on Excel was having a significant impact on the timeliness of reports and its budget process.

CSA Global’s driver-based budget solution has made for a more timely budget process. The ability to easily update budget drivers and have these effortlessly flow through the entire budget, whilst also providing versioning, security and the ability to lock certain inputs, has made for a more robust process with a clear audit trail.

Results, ROI & Future Plans

Through bi5’s implementation of a single solution using the BOARD toolkit, CSA has reported annual time savings equating to around $50,000. CSA’s Financial Controller also reports a large number of other benefits such as improved integrity and confidence in reported values, and more time for conversations with regional and divisional managers to improve performance (rather than on preparing reports).
